Employing a medical-grade algorithm, Cardiogram calculates heart rate thresholds automatically and alerts users when they approach their maximum heart rate limit. All sessions are documented and can later be analyzed using intuitive graph charts. To streamline the viewing experience, the app retains only sessions exceeding two minutes; transient checks of heart rate are not recorded in the history log.

The application employs color-coded visual cues during workouts:

 <li>Light green: Fitness Zone (50 to 60% of maximum heart rate); ideal for cardiovascular training.</li>
 <li>Green: Fat Burning and Aerobic Zone (60 to 80% of maximum heart rate); promotes endurance through metabolic efficiency.</li>
 <li>Yellow: Anaerobic Zone (80 to 90% of maximum heart rate); effective for muscle development and enhanced athletic performance.</li>
 <li>Red: Near maximum heart rate (over 90%); this zone poses risks and should be approached with caution, typically under professional supervision during competitive training.</li>
